Joan D. Partington, of Cornwall, NY entered into eternal rest on July 2, 2018 at The Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing in Beacon, NY. She was 79 years old.

The daughter of the late James Morgan and Florence (Phillips) Morgan, Joan was born on September 17, 1938 in Otisville, NY.

She was an active member of the Cornwall United Methodist Church.
A family statement reads: “Joan was a beautiful and gentle soul, she came from a large and loving family whom she cherished and in turn adored her for the past wonderful 79 years that we have been blessed to have her in our lives. Joan had always enjoyed her time with her friends and family. She is a loving wife, sister, mother, aunt and grandmother”. She will be missed greatly.

Joan is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, David H. Partington. In addition, she is survived by her sons: James Partington and Robert Partington, both of Cornwall, NY; her granddaughter: Natasha Partington; her brothers: James Morgan and Arnold Morgan; her sisters: Mary Mabee, Gladys Maier and Deborah Morgan. Joan was predeceased by her brother: Richard Morgan.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, July 6th at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 12 p.m. following the visitation at the funeral home. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY.
