I was an aide for Mrs. Scott for a short time and feel blessed that I was able to help care for her for a little while..I always enjoyed hearing the stories about her large family! I know she will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Helen Scott has played an important role in our lives. When my sister was born in 1951 and my mom, Betty Baker, was 21 and Helen Scott was delivering her little girl, Linda, and was 16. They became fast friends and for 70 years they kept delivering and confiding the trust that they would stay connected and be best friends come heck or high water. My Mom reflected to me yesterday that, although Helen was her junior of five years that Helen served as her rock when my mom really needed a shoulder, a sounding board to guide her. When you think of 70 years of friendship that is in itself one phenomenal relationship. My mom was inconsolable. She experienced the loss of her buddy, her friend, her strength. In July of 2019 I attended with many others, Betty Baker's 90th birthday. Lo and behold sitting next to my mom was Helen and Bob Scott. Helen has always been there for others and family and is still there today in spirit. Although her presence is not physical, she still projects strength to others who have always looked to her for her unconditional love and support. To me, Helen, no taller than a minute, kept me honest in any and all dealings with her and my mom. Betty will miss you more than you could ever imagine. You're a tough cookie and certainly have never take guff from anyone. We all love your courage, strength, and love. We will be looking up to you tonight and wishing you great patience until we all arrive for a hug.
Love you so much and always,
The Bakers
