YUNG S. CHOI, M.D.
April 7, 1946 – April 12, 2020

He was a selfless healer with an expansive heart.
Dr. Choi served as a physician for nearly 50 years—in the South Korean military, New York City hospitals, Fishkill Correctional Facility, and as a pediatrician for two generations in Cornwall and Newburgh.
Whenever it rained, he expressed awe and gratitude for the roof over his head. His loving curiosity and generous laughter cleansed spirits and nourished us always.
Wise quiet warrior, compassionate listener, patient mountain, avid Yankees fan.
Dr. Choi entered into eternal rest on April 12, 2020 at home in Cornwall. He was born the oldest son of the late Lim Young Hwa and Choi Sang Ho near Gimcheon, South Korea, and is survived by his wife Sung H. Lee Choi, daughter Christine Choi, son Charles Choi, and his grandchildren William, Julia, and Charlie.
