Robert J. Schultz, of New Windsor, NY entered into eternal rest on February 18, 2023 at his home. He was 72 years old.
The son of the late Robert Schultz and Ingrid Carla (Bussaeus) Schultz, Robert was born on July 30, 1950 in Seattle, WA.
Robert was a retired Postal Clerk for the United States Postal Service at Stewart Airport in Newburgh, NY.
Robert will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandpa. He was a great animal lover, especially his pet “Riley”. Always wanting to stay healthy, Rob competed in three Spartan Races, which he was very proud of. His other loves were reading and music. One of the highlights of his life was a trip to Austin, TX with his son Conor to hear some great music.
Robert is survived by his loving wife: Kathleen A. (Reilly) Schultz at home; his daughter: Bridget A. Schultz of Oakland, CA; his sons: Brian R. Schultz of Newburgh, NY and Conor P. Schultz and his wife Jacqueline of Wallkill, NY; his grandchildren: Arlowe, Brody, Conor P., Jr. and Joseph; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his brother: Ronald Schultz.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23rd at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Chapel Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 23rd at the funeral home. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY. Inurnment will take place at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
Memorial Contributions in Robert’s name may be made to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc., 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550 or to a charity of one’s choice.
