PETER DEAN PUMMER
May 1, 1949 – January 25, 2023 New Windsor, NY
Peter Dean Pummer, of New Windsor, NY entered into eternal rest on January 25, 2023 at home. He was 73 years old.
The son of the late Lewis Reichardt Pummer and Betty Barbara (Carver) Pummer, Peter was born on May 1, 1949 in Portage, WI.
Peter was a retired Biology Teacher and Coach for the Okaloosa County School District where he coached Wrestling, Football and Soccer. He retired from Bruner Middle School of Fort Walton Bch and will be missed dearly by all of his Fellow Coaches, Teachers and Friends and all the students and athletes he guided and mentored.
Peter was a proud Auburn Football Alumni 1967-1970 and attended Graduate school where he received a Masters in Education and will be missed by his Auburn family.
Peter is survived by his devoted son: Jason D. Pummer; his grandchildren: Matthew and Lucy Pummer; his sister: Merry (Pummer) Foster and his brother: John Pummer; and his late sister Dianne; and Brother Lewis Pummer.
A small private service with family will be held and a life celebration in Peter’s honor at a later date to be determined. Donations can be made to any Fort Walton Beach youth sports programs in need.
