On October 22, 2018, Peter J. Lena Sr. at the age of 74, slipped peacefully into eternal rest. By his side was his loving wife Patricia (Finnegan) Lena of 55 years.

The son of the late Nicholas Lena and Philomena (Rocconova) Lena, Peter was born on May 13, 1944 in New York, NY. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph Lena.

His journey leaves behind his daughter: Kathleen Lena; son: Peter Lena Jr. (Paula); sister: Mary Gerbes (Frank); brother: Nicholas Lena; and sister-in-law: Faith Lumpkin (Paul). Greatly missing him are his five granddaughters: Patricia Byrd (Bryan), Nicole Thompson (Andrew), Marlena Smith (Devin), Jessica and Julie Lena, and grandson Pfc David Lena; as well as 5 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Pete’s dream was to light the world starting at Lightron of Cornwall and ending at Kramer Lighting, Middletown RI. While living in Rhode Island he and Pattie owned and operated a retail lighting shop.

As president of the Cornwall Business Association, he and Mel Penn initiated the Annual Cornwall Sidewalk Sale. He was also president of Lions Club (Cornwall) where he began the “Hole in One Tournament”.
While living in Americus GA, Pete was one of the founding members to start a chapter of Knights of Columbus.

A Christian mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 15th at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY.
