Dear Joanne, Joe and Family,
So sorry for your loss. I had the joy of reconnecting with Mel in recent years and we so enjoyed going to the Canterbury and Jakes for dinner with Mel and Susan. Her twinkling blues eyes and beautiful warm smile always lit up the room and our hearts. She was a treasure who will be missed.

To Joanne & Joe & all family & friends. Mel was a very longtime friend & the best neighbor that anyone could hope for. She will be sadly missed by the entire Hennessey family: Lorraine, Ruth, Mark & myself. Maple St. will never be the same again. Best wishes--Steve Hennessey, 101 Willow Ave., Cornwall.

My deepest sympathy to the Ward-Albarino families. When I think of Mel it is always with a smile on her face. She had a matchless sense of humor that could light up any room. Family was everything to her. She will be missed..

So very sad to hear of Mel’s passing. A lifelong friend and an original Maple Street kid. To Joanne and Joe, my heartfelt condolences to you and your families. This one hits home as since I’ve been back in Cornwall Mel and I spoke frequently at Dunkin and thoroughly enjoyed telling all the young kids working the counter that we went to kindergarten together. She wouldn’t trade places with any of us now, I will truly miss her.

I fondly remember Ms. Albariño from my St. Thomas school days. She was my favorite teacher. She was always smiling and cheerful. My sympathy to all of those who are grieving this loss.
