Marjorie (Avery) Sawyer, of New Windsor, NY entered into eternal rest on January 8, 2022 at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. She was 93 years old.
The late Glenn Avery and Margaret (Thorn) Avery, Marjorie was born on October 4, 1928 in Seneca Falls, NY.
Marjorie enjoyed life and nature as a whole. She grew up on a farm and had her favorite pets; a woodchuck and a goose. She was a devoted and supportive wife, as her family traveled with the military. Marjorie was a caring mother and grandmother and will be missed dearly by all.
In addition to her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by her loving husband: Chester J. Sawyer in 2011. She is survived by her sons: Lyle D. Sawyer and his wife Cheng, McEwen E. Sawyer, Lynn P. Sawyer and his wife Joyce and Chester J. Sawyer, Jr.; her daughters: Darcy Sawyer, Marjorie (Sawyer) Gibson, Cynthia (Sawyer) Long and her companion Jamie Parker; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
