John Vincent Ginda, Sr., of Cornwall, NY entered into eternal rest on December 8, 2019 at his home. He was 74 years old.
The son of Teddy and Rose Ginda, John was born on October 28, 1945 in Suffern, NY.
John graduated from Haverstraw High School. He was a Foreman for Orange and Rockland Utilities for 42 years and a Volunteer Fireman his entire life.
John was a proud, loyal, and caring man who loved his family and friends deeply. He would help anyone he knew; always putting others needs before his own. He worked hard every day of his life and fought to live until the very end. He will be missed always.
John is survived by his wife of 50 years Sharon; his son John Jr. and his wife Jacqueline; his daughter Lori Beth and her husband Gregg; his mother Rose; his sisters: Nancy and Rosemarie; brothers: Alex, Robert, and Edward. He had eight grandchildren that he loved fiercely; Bethanny, Danell, John III, Kathryn, Grace, Rose, Michael, and Matthew. They will always keep him in their hearts.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 on Wednesday, December 11th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 12th at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY.
