Jeffery W. Retta, of New Windsor, NY entered into eternal rest on January 29, 2021 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, NY after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 66 years old.
The son of the late Roy Richard Retta and Joyce (Brown) Retta, Jeffery was born on February 3, 1954 in Cornwall, NY.
Jeffery and his late father, Roy, were partners in a Commercial Painting business for over 40 years. They were a great team and were proud of their work and compatibility. Jeffery loved boating on the Hudson River and his favorite hobby was Locksmithing – there wasn’t a lock or safe that Jeff couldn’t open.
Jeffery is survived by his loving and devoted wife: Sharen R.M. (Anderson) Retta at home; his sister: Debra (Retta) Quinn and her husband Patrick of the Town of Newburgh; his step-mother: Mathilde Jean Retta; his step-sisters: Linda Ofeldt, Diane Stillwood, Cheryl Scaccio; and many step-nieces and step-nephews. In addition to his parents, Jeffery was predeceased by his uncle: Edward Retta.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 6th at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 543 Union Avenue, New Windsor, NY. Due to the continued public health concerns of covid-19, please know that there is an occupancy limitation which may cause a wait time. Facial coverings must be worn in church at all times.
