GEORGE HENRY KANE
February 2, 1947 – June 26, 2018
Cornwall, NY

George Henry Kane was born on February 2, 1947 in Newburgh, NY and died peacefully at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. He struggled with health issues recently and put up a gallant fight. He was the son of the late Henry and Gertrude M. (Tricarico) Kane.

George attended Willow Avenue Elementary and Cornwall Junior and Senior High School, where he was a member of the class of 1965.

George honorably and proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.

George was predeceased by his parents in 2009, a sister Barbara in 1959, a brother Brian in 1961, a sister Karen in 2011, his brothers Kevin “Trapper” and Henry Kane, Jr. in 2017. George is survived by several nieces and nephews as well as numerous cousins across the country.

There will be a graveside service with Military Honors on Sat. July 14th at 11:00 a.m. at the Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Goshen, NY. There, he will be laid to rest with his sister, brother and near his parents.

In lieu of flowers please, make a memorial contribution to the Friends of the Cornwall Public Library 395 Hudson St., Cornwall, NY 12518.
