FRED M. FISCHER

Fred M. Fischer, of New Windsor, NY entered into eternal rest on May 4, 2021 at home. He was 74 years old.

The son of the late Heinrich Fischer and Elsa (Schricker) Fischer, Fred was born on November 19, 1946 in Nieder Lamitz, Germany.

Fred loved his job as a Bus Driver for West Point Tours in Vails Gate, NY, he looked forward (pre-covid) to his early morning coffee clutch.

He was an active member of the Woodcock Auto Bowling League. He previously owned Fred’s Deli in Cornwall, NY and has remained friends with many of his patrons. He spent many years as goalie for the Clarkstown Seniors Soccer League. He was a killer card shark, loved to gamble and watch European Soccer. When he was not busy at work or watching soccer, he spent time with his children, grandchildren and close friends. His memory will live on through his wife and family.

Fred is survived by his loving wife: Tracey R. (Porter) Fischer at home; his children: Steven Fischer (Gina) of Whippany, NJ, Deborah Gebbia (Gary) of Newburgh, NY, Owen J. Smith III (Megan) of New Windsor, NY and Daphne M. Conde of Milford, PA; his grandchildren: Gary and Corey Gebbia, Kyle and Alex Fischer, Chauncey and Quinn Besten, and Owen Smith, IV.; and his brother: Peter Fischer (Debbie).

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 on Saturday, May 8th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Due to the continued public health concerns of covid-19, please know that there is an occupancy limitation which may cause a wait time. Facial coverings must be worn in the funeral home at all times.

A Chapel Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. following the visitation. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY.
