Obituary for Fausto E. Fienco

FAUSTO E. FIENCO
February 15, 1950 – May 4, 2023
New Windsor, NY

Fausto’s unexpected passing in the evening on May 4th has left his family heartbroken and deeply saddened.

The son of the late Guillermo Fienco and Emerita Acuña Fienco, the brother of late Euclides Fienco and Armando Fienco, Fausto was born on February 15, 1950 in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

Fausto is survived by his loving wife: Awilda Rosado Fienco at home; his daughters: Melissa E. Fienco, Jessenia A. Fienco Varghese and her husband Jeffey, and Christina Fienco Teahan and her husband Jack; 5 grandchildren: Brandon Fienco, Erick G. Cabrera, Jack Teahan V, Azalea Varghese and Giovanni Teahan; and by his sister: Gloria Fienco Ruiz.

Fausto truly lived the American dream when he came to New York at 18 with little to his name. Not only working as a Conductor for the NYC Transit Authority, Fausto was a very hard and dedicated worker who strived to make a wonderful life for himself and his family.

Since retiring, Fausto loved traveling the world with the love of his life, Awilda, experiencing all the wonders life offers, while sharing and making memories together. He was a very proud father of his three beautiful daughters, who took much pride and joy in being the grandfather to his five special grandchildren that brought out the best in him.

Being a true family man, Fausto was proud of the home he built. He loved spending time together on all occasions; making his infamous tostones, being the life of the party, shedding his charisma while showing his passion for the dance floor. His entertaining energy was vibrant in all things especially when playing with his grandkids in his PingPong tournaments, UNO, or Trouble.

Even though we will miss his infectious smile, Fausto passionately lived his life in all seasons for 73 years. May he guide and shine his eternal flame on his loved ones.

Forever in our hearts.
We will miss you POW-POW.
We know you’re with Gotti-boy.
Donde quiera que estes, “pa’llá voy!”
