Obituary

ELLINORA J. LaFONTAINE
April 16, 1954 ā€“ February 14, 2021
Campbell Hall, NY formerly of Cornwall, NY

Ellinora J. LaFontaine, a former longtime resident of Cornwall, NY entered into eternal rest on February 14, 2021 at Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center in Campbell Hall, NY. She was 66 years old.

The daughter of the late Kenneth LaFontaine and Carol Jean (Wood) LaFontaine, Ellinora was born on April 16, 1954 in Peekskill, NY.

Ellinora held many jobs in her life, but she especially enjoyed waitressing at Perkins in New Windsor, NY.

Ellie (as most people know her) was full of life and a hard-working mom. She loved singing and dancing to music. She loved sports, especially the Yankees and Notre Dame Football and shared that special bond with her boys. Her family was especially important to her. She will be missed greatly.

Ellinora is survived by her sons: Jimmy-Joe Roberts and Edward G. Stanford, IV; and her grandchildren: Noah, Lucas, Morgan and Taylor.

Due to the public health concerns of the Corona Virus (Covid-19), memorial services for Ellinora will be private. On behalf of the family, thank you for your understanding and support during this difficult time. The family will be holding a private celebration a later date.

Our most sincere condolences go out to your family. We spent many hours with Ellie and her parents at the New Windsor Little League field! Our sons, Chris and Kevin Burke played baseball with Jimmy-Joe. Grandma and Grandpa never missed a game and Ellie would often come right from work to see the games. She was a devoted mother and fun person to be around. In later years, My husband Brian Burke would Meet Edward once again when he was Principal at Cornwall High School. All of you were such nice people and Iā€™m sure that your family will continue passing on the love that your mom and grandparents showered on you!

Every summer Ellie and her parents would come to South Jersey to visit for long weekends. A trip to the AC boardwalk. We always had a great time. Sadly she will be missed.
