Obituary for Edward D. "Eddie" Trennes

EDWARD D. TRENNES
September 21, 1959 – February 16, 2022
New Windsor, NY

Edward “Eddie” D. Trennes, of New Windsor, NY entered into eternal rest on February 16, 2022 at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. He was 62 years old.

The son of the late Edward Trennes and Anastasia (Kelly) Trennes, Eddie was born on September 21, 1959 in Manhattan, NY.

Eddie was a retired Police officer with NYPD – 43 Precinct in the Bronx. He was an active Member of American Legion Post 1796 in New Windsor, NY and the Black Rock Fish & Game Club in Mountainville, NY. Eddie and his wife Teresa own the Shamrock Tavern in Cornwall where many friendships have been made. Eddie was the most loving and devoted husband, an amazing father and the proudest grandfather. His sense of humor and kindness will be missed beyond words.

Eddie is survived by his devoted wife: Teresa I. (Carey) Trennes at home; his son: Steven Ryan; his daughters: Elizabeth Ryan (Terrence Germano) and Jennifer Ryan; his grandchildren: Leah, Norah and Jonathan; his brother: Thomas Sawyer; his sister: Meg (Robert) LoPresti; his nieces: Joanna Burke and Laura Angotta; and his nephew: Christopher LoPresti.

Based on new CDC guidelines adopted by NYS, fully vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks or be socially distanced, but unvaccinated individuals must continue to wear masks and be socially distanced in the funeral home.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 21st at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 22nd at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Everyone is invited back to the Shamrock Tavern in Cornwall for the continuation of the celebration of Eddie’s life.
