EDWARD DONALD KUHN
August 9, 1943 – April 24, 2023
New Windsor, NY
Edward Donald Kuhn, of New Windsor, NY entered into eternal rest on April 24, 2023 at Taconic Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Beacon, NY. He was 79 years old.
The son of the late Alfred F. Kuhn and Margaret (Casey) Kuhn, Edward was born on August 9, 1943 in Floral Park, NY.
Edward retired from Metro North Railroad as a Chief Crew Dispatcher. He honorably and proudly served his country as a member of the US Army during the Vietnam War.
A family statement reads: “Ed had a very dry sense of humor. He was very proud of his lawn and could be seen all summer tending to it - pulling weeds, watering, etc. He was a Yankees and Giants fan and during the season would be glued to the TV. He looked forward to planning our annual trip for Las Vegas.” He will be missed greatly.
Edward is survived by his loving wife: Margaret A. (Janatsch) Kuhn at home; his daughter: Elizabeth Casey Kuhn of Poughkeepsie, NY; his son: Matthew Weinstein (Christine) of Davenport, FL; his grandchildren: Katie and Timmy; and by his sisters: Carol Von Achen of Sloatsburg, NY and Kathleen Sweetman of Marlboro NY; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Edward was predeceased by his grandson: Michael Weinstein; and by his brother: Robert Kuhn.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3rd at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Graveside Service will be held at Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Goshen, NY at a later date.
