Obituary for Donovan J. Fleming

DONOVAN J. FLEMING
March 26, 1983 – July 14, 2020
Highland Mills, NY

Donovan J. Fleming, of Highland Mills, NY entered into eternal rest on July 14, 2020 at home. He was 37 years old.

The son of Donald J. Fleming and Lynda E. (Sharpe) Fleming, Donovan was born on March 26, 1983 in Newburgh, NY.

Donovan was a very creative and original soul. He had a genius capacity for his beloved music through poetry and rhymes. As a child, our special place as a family was Walt Disney World campground in Orlando, FL. This is where he found his beloved three legged turtle: Charger. As an adult, his special place was on top of Schunnemunk Mountain, as well as the Town of Woodbury Earl Reservoir. This is where he spent many summer days with his dearest nephew: Kaiden and niece: Isabella. The three of them were thick as thieves. Donovan taught them perseverance by succeeding in seeing them earn their 1st degree black belt. Donovan also instilled a love of art in Isabella, who has extraordinary talent drawing. Donovan loved to skateboard and BMX ride. One of his other passions was photography. Donovan was a father figure to Kaiden and Isabella. He also was a full time caregiver to his father: Donald and mother: Lynda. He will be missed greatly.

In addition to his parents, Donovan is survived by his sister: Kiera N. Fleming (Alex) of Highland Falls, NY; his brother: Matthew Fleming of Jersey City, NJ; and his nephew: Kaiden; and his niece: Isabella.
