Obituary for Donald J. "Don" Fleming

DONALD J. FLEMING
September 21, 1944 – September 26, 2021
Highland Mills, NY

Donald J. Fleming, of Highland Mills, NY entered into eternal rest on September 26, 2021 at Garnet Health Medical Center in Wallkill, NY. He was 77 years old.

The son of the late Donald Fleming and Frances (Tomer) Fleming, Donald was born on September 21, 1944 in Manhattan, NY.

Donald was a retired Teacher in the New York City Public School System.

Donald lived life for his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved working on his beloved Cadillac cars, watching the Yankee games with his wife and spending time with his grandchildren. It was important to him that he was able to spend as much time as he could with Kaiden and Isabella, his grandchildren. The family will miss his hilarious, often inappropriate, humor and long stories. Anyone who knew Don knew he was famous for his candor to recant memorable stories from “the good old days”. Don believed everyone deserves a Great Adventure and only the good die young. He will be greatly missed by his family.

Donald is survived by his wife: Lynda E. (Sharpe) Fleming at home; his daughter: Kiera N. Fleming; his son: Matthew Fleming of Jersey City, NJ; his grandchildren: Kaiden and Isabella; his sister: Grace Stella Fleming; and his brother: Arnold Fleming. Donald was predeceased by his son: Donovan J. Fleming in 2020.
