Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY

Donald M. Davet, of Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY entered into eternal rest on February 9, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was 51 years old.

The son of George K. Davet and Natalie P. (D’Amore) Davet, Donald was born on May 26, 1967 in Euclid, OH.

Donald earned his Bachelor’s degree of science from The Ohio State University. He was employed as a Marketing Manager with Nestle Waters North America Division.

He was an active member of the Cornwall Community coaching his daughter’s CCD basketball team and supporting his children in their academic and athletic endeavors. Don was a Peace Corps volunteer in Paraguay for 3 years, and lived in South America with his wife. He was a giving man who thought about others before himself. He taught his daughter’s the values of hard work, respect and integrity. He will be missed greatly.

In addition to his parents, left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Adrienne (Busch) Davet at home; his daughters: Olivia Davet and Eva Davet; and his brother: George Davet of University Heights, OH.

Memorial Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13that Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 14that St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340m Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY.

Memorial Contributions in Don’s name may be made to or to The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, 5526 West 13400 South, #510, Herriman, Utah 84096.

We are neighbors of Bob and Kathryn Busch. We extend our deepest sympathies to the Davet family in this sad time. We have heard what a great man Donald was and how he helped anyone in need. He obviously will be sorely missed.

Don was one of the brighter lights on this planet. I’m truly saddened to learn of his passing. Such a genuine soul. My prayers to his family and know he was a special kind.
