Dolores E. Gordon, of New Windsor, NY entered into eternal rest on April 15, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 87 years young.

The only daughter of the late Harry Basenach and Lannette (Mills) Basensach, Dolores was born on September 8, 1934 in the Bronx, NY.

Dolores was retired from Westchester Square Hospital in the Bronx, NY also worked at Yankee Stadium where she met her husband, George. She was an avid traveler. Her favorite trips included a cruise in Prague and walking on glaciers in Alaska. She loved the 20 years she spent in Florida, going out to dinner with her friends, and spending time with her Schnauzers. Our dear Nanny had a heart of gold.

Dolores was predeceased by her husband: George Gordon. She is survived by her devoted son: Thomas Schlett and his wife Kim of New Windsor, NY; her daughter Kathy Connolly and her husband Thomas of Maryland; her grandchildren: Thomas and Sage Schlett, Stephen Schlett, Katie and Jonathan Connolly and her great-grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thanks to the ladies at Community Healthcare (Anne, Gabriel and Liz) for all their help, support and friendship.

Based on new CDC guidelines adopted by NYS, fully vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks or be socially distanced, but unvaccinated individuals must continue to wear masks and be socially distanced in the funeral home.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 21st at St. Mary’s Church, 42 Goshen Avenue, Washingtonville, NY. Interment will follow the Mass at Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor, NY.
