Denise L. Riley, of Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY entered into eternal rest on January 21, 2022 at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. She was 64 years old.
The daughter of the late Harold D. Bailey and Anna G. (Ruzich) Bailey, Denise was born on January 3, 1958 in Cornwall, NY.
Denise was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy and held several jobs until becoming a fulltime homemaker.
A family statement reads: Denise loved spending time in the kitchen creating delicious meals for her family. She enjoyed a good cup of tea. In her later years she battled several illnesses with grace and stayed strong until the end. We will all miss her more than words can say.
Denise is survived by her loving and devoted husband: Michael P. Riley at home; her sons: Sean M. Riley and Andrew P. Riley at home; her sister: Debra Bailey in Wilmington, NC; her sisters-in-law Anne (Jim) Nichols in Haymarket, VA and Sue (Bob) McNeely in Walden, NY. In addition to her parents, Denise was predeceased by her sister: Donna Borman and brother-in-law Timothy Riley.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 30th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Due to the continued public health concerns of covid-19, please know that facial coverings must be worn in the funeral home at all times. A Chapel Service will follow the Visitation at 5:00 p.m.
