CHARLES ALEXANDER GLASSEY III
November 19, 1938 – March 30, 2021
Central Valley, NY

Charles Alexander Glassey III of Central Valley, NY, departed this life peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on March 30, 2021. He was 82 years old.

“Alex” was born on November 19, 1938, and was the son of Margaret and Charles Alexander Glassey Jr., of Cornwall, NY.

A gifted athlete in his youth, he played football, golf, and ran track, but his passion was baseball. Alex was also an Army Veteran, who earned his Master’s Degree in industrial engineering from Penn State. After 25 years of working for AT&T, he fulfilled his lifelong dream of retiring on the water in Florida, to live near his family and Disney World, both of which he loved dearly.

Alex was the most devoted husband to his wife of 60 years. He dedicated his life and all he had to his children and grandchildren. He was a dear and true friend to all. He will be greatly missed.

Alex is survived by his daughter: Dawn Gasvoda and her husband, Steve of Highland, MI.; his daughter-in-law: Susan Glassey of Weston, FL.; and his grandchildren: Brittany Glassey, Megan Gasvoda, Jessica Gasvoda, Hannah Bennett and her husband, Tyler. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife: Gail Glassey; his beloved son: Gordon Glassey; and his beloved Maltese: Snipper.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY.
