PETER J. LEGG

Peter J. Legg of New Windsor, NY (formerly of Beacon, NY) entered into eternal rest at the Kaplan Family Hospice Center on September 9, 2018. He was 62 years of age. He spent his early childhood in the Bronx and relocated to White Plains as a teenager. He was a graduate of Hendrick Hudson High School. Peter honorably and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy.
He was a self-employed landscaper and arborist. Peter was an avid outdoors man, who loved fishing and hunting. Peter was a kind and caring person who loved his family.
Peter was the son of the late of John R. Legg and Mary Anne (Gillespie) Legg. He was predeceased by his sister: Sally D’Alora and brother-in-laws: Daniel D’Alora and Robert Multari.
Peter is survived by his brother: Raymond J. Legg (Lake Worth, FL); his sisters: Mary Multari (Milford, PA), Patricia Marinan and Mary Mulligan (Cornwall, NY); nephews: Robert Multari (Milford, PA), John D’Alora and fiancé Leigha Edwards (Broadview Heights, OH), Michael and Michelle Marinan (Cornwall, NY), Jeffrey and Jessica Marinan (New Windsor, NY); nieces: Trisha Marie Multari and Mehdi Elyousfi (Queens, NY), and Jennifer and Michael Serafin (Cornwall, NY); grand nieces and nephews: Nick, Julia, Ashlynn, Michael, Gwen, Sofia, Charlie, Iollan, and Olivia.
Memorial Visitation will be held 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, September 22nd at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be follow at 11:30 a.m. Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made in Peters name to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc., 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
