John A. Werner, Jr., a former long-time resident of Cornwall, NY entered into eternal rest on February 12, 2017 at Elant at Fishkill, Fishkill, NY. He was 80 years old.

The son of the late John A. Werner, Sr. and Gertrude Martin Werner, Jack was born on February 13, 1936 in Cornwall, NY.

Jack retired from the Town of Cornwall Highway Department and was a Life Member of Highland Engine Co. #1, Cornwall, NY.

Jack is survived by his son, Glenn Werner; his daughters, Michelle Werner and Kimberly Werner; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Elizabeth (Bunny) J. Clark of Montgomery, NY.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 16th at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 17th at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Interment will follow the Mass at St. Thomas Cemetery, Cornwall, NY.
