The daughter of the late Rafael Noriega Martinez and Maria Noriega de Padro, Blanca was born on August 9, 1928 in Torrecillas, Morovis, Puerto Rico.

Blanca retired from SUNY New Paltz in New Paltz, NY as the Head Custodian at the Faculty Tower.

Blanca was an active member of the Solid Rock Church in New Windsor, NY. She loved serving her brothers and sisters in Christ!

A family statement reads: “Blanca was a wonderful Mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. She took great pride in her family. She was a selfless, generous, loving, caring woman. She was a hardworking woman who was loved and appreciated by all her family and friends. “Granny” as she was lovingly called, was the epitome of unconditional love.

Granny enjoyed her coffee! She was a great chef and was always content to feed anyone who stopped by for a visit! She had a wonderful sense of humor and was a creative storyteller. We always laughed so hard with her. Granny was an avid NY Yankee fan since the days of Babe Ruth, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, etc.

Her beautiful smile, strong hugs and her love made you feel that you were genuinely loved! She will be missed greatly.

Blanca is survived by her daughter, Elaine Stimpson and her husband Thomas, of New Windsor, NY, her grand-daughter Melissa Houde and her husband William, of Colorado Springs, CO, her grandson Thomas (TJ) Stimpson and his wife Jacklyn of New Windsor, NY and her two great-grandchildren, Logan Thomas Stimpson and Emilia Grace Stimpson.
