Bernice X. Nugent, of New Windsor, NY entered into eternal rest on January 17, 2020 at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. She was 76 years old.
The daughter of the late Serafino Ciccone and Anna (Dauge) Ciccone, Bernice was born on January 16, 1944 in Manhattan, NY.
Bernice married the love of her life, Edward G. Nugent, on February 27, 1965 and enjoyed being a wife and mother.
Bernice was a kind, loving woman who placed her family, friends and faith in the lord above all things. She will be severely missed by everyone who she knew. She made a large impact in so many young people’s lives in her neighborhood.
In addition to her husband Edward, Bernice is survived by her sons: Jason E. Nugent and his wife Heather, and Michael G. Nugent and his wife Shari; four grandchildren: Samantha Carlew, Adam Carlew, Brigid Nugent and Colin Nugent; one great grandson: George Edward Boisvert; her brother: Fred Ciccone and his wife Sami; nieces: Kim Draves and Dina Ciccone; great nieces: Judy, Rachel and Madison; great nephews: Sam and Brenden; her brother-in-law: Donald Nugent and his wife Judy; and her dear friend: Dorothy Kern.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22nd at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Chapel Service will be held at 7 p.m. following the visitation at the funeral home. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY. Inurnment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Washingtonville, NY in the Spring.
