Anna “Chrissy” McParland, of Cornwall, NY entered into eternal rest on September 5, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 89 years old.
The daughter of the late Francis Gildea and Anna (Troy) Gildea, Chrissy was born on December 24, 1932 in Manhattan, NY.
She loved sweets, scary movies and most of all, children.
Chrissy was predeceased by her loving husband: John B. McParland, her infant daughter: Christina Marie McParland as well as her sister Mary Patricia (Gildea) Sullivan and her brother, John Gildea. She is survived by her devoted son: John D. McParland and his wife Kathy of New Windsor, NY; her grandchildren: Ryan McParland and his wife Lisa Romeo of Bloomfield, NJ and Kim LeBlanc of Cornwall, NY; her great grandchildren: Allyson Ingram and Nicholas Ingram; her sisters: Veronica (Gildea) O’Connell and Josephine (Gildea) Depperman; and by her brother: Francis V. Gildea, his wife, Pat and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9th at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Interment will follow the Mass at St. Raymond Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
