Alicia Gonzalez, of Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY entered into eternal rest on February 18, 2022 at Mount Sinai West Hospital in Manhattan, NY. She was 49 years old.
The daughter of Juan Ramos and Monserrate Gomez-Ramos of Puerto Rico, Alicia was born on September 4, 1972 in Spanish Harlem in New York City.
Alicia was a part of the Human Resources Department for the FBI in New York City, NY.
She was an active member of the Catholic Church.
“Alicia was someone who touched every person she met. Her relenting spirit that would put everyone before herself will always be treasured. She worked tirelessly to provide for her family, both close and far and always attempted to brighten the day of everyone she was around. Tasked often with difficult times, Alicia always pushed through whatever challenges life presented her with. Her fighting spirit is commendable, along with her aforementioned selflessness and joyous aurora. ” She will be missed greatly.
In addition to her parents, Alicia is survived by her loving and devoted husband: Raymond Gonzalez; her son: Nicholas Raymond Gonzalez at home; her sisters: Elizabeth Vazquez and Yolanda and Charlie Giraldo; her sibling in-laws: Walter, Zulma, Hector and Martha Gonzalez; her nieces and nephews: Georgie Diaz Jr; Michael R. Vazquez, Maximus C. Gonzalez, Amanda M. Vazquez, Leigha N. Gonzalez, Andrew A. Gonzalez, Sebastian A. Gonzalez, Lily L. Vazquez, Alexander L. Gonzalez and Emma L. Gonzalez; and her mother in-law: Ana V. Rodriguez. Alicia is also survived by her wonderful dog, Hudson; as well as other friends and family. Alicia was predeceased by her son: Raymond Nicholas Gonzalez and father in-law: Alfredo C. Lopez.
Based on new CDC guidelines adopted by NYS, fully vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks or be socially distanced, but unvaccinated individuals must continue to wear masks and be socially distanced in the funeral home.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 26th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Chapel Service will follow the Visitation at 6:00 p.m. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY.
